I really want a DVD Rewriteable drive....I've been looking at them for the past few months and I still haven't been able to decide which one to buy. Right now there are two standards that are fighting it out:
DVD+RW/DVD+R - which is supported by HP
DVD-RW/DVD-R - which is supported by Pioneer
...at first I was going to go with HP, only because of the great performance I've had out of their CD-RW drives. The only thing that concerns me is that the DVD+R is a new format and it's not known how compatible it is with older set-top players. The DVD-R format is a lot better at that...plus it's supposed to be compatible with my DVD player...and the media is cheaper. A guy that works in the video studio here is getting a new Dell PC soon and is going to have me install a Pioneer DVR-A04(DVD-R) drive in it for him....I'll wait and see how it performs, and see if a DVD-R disc will work in my player...
I'm so itching to get one these....I'm hoping I can wait...I've been pretty good so far...but it's only a matter of time before I crack.
tonight will be my last night in my old apartment...(thank god!) I'll go by after work and get the key to my new place...and probably take a peak while I'm at it. Everything is packed and ready to go...I need to finish cleaning the kitchen tonight...ugh. This might be my last post for a couple of days. I'll be without cable tv and broadband for the weekend....I know it's a scary thought. I think I can make it though.
Plus on Sunday I'm going to the Street Rod Nationals! Woohoo! I'm not really sure why I like going so much....you spend hours walking around in the heat...the foods not that great...but they have some amazing cars to check out. Plus this is the first year my Dad will be showing his car...(37 Chevy 2DR Sedan). That reminds me...I want to bring my camera along and take some pictures. Well I need to get back to work. If I can write tonigh I will.
I really need to update my website....it hasn't been updated since November... I want to change the overall look of the site and also post some more of my photographs. Maybe after the big move I'll feel motivated. Plus I'm going to be going back to Yellowstone next month...so I should have some more pictures to put up.

ya know...cleaning your apartment when your moving out really isn't that much fun...especially when you didn't clean it that much to begin with. I would like to get as much of my deposit back as possible so I'm giving it the ol' college try. I'm taking a break now, as you can see, otherwise I think the fumes from the various cleaning solutions that I'm using might kill me.
Maybe I'll have a brownie and some milk...Mmmm...that will get me motivated again. I was planning on playing some Jedi Outcast again tonight before I go to bed...(its the way I've been winding down from packing all week)...except that for the past few days my eyes have been red...kinda bloodshot...maybe I'll give Jedi a rest tonight. I'll try and post again before the night is through.

well I think I'm done packing for the night...I only have one more closet to go...and some little stuff...and some computer books. Damn those things are so frickin' heavy, I've been thinking about just throwing them in the trunk on moving day. We'll see... I think I'll have a bowl of cereal and go to bed...got work tomorrow.

just finished taking a break....moving will kick your ass if you let it. I don't think the people that live next to me like my jammin' too much....I just started to hear their shit music coming through the wall....and believe me it is shit... Only 5 more days until I'm outta here...I'm counting down the minutes. ....back to work.

My moving day is on the 29th...and I can't wait for it... Right now I live in a less then nice neighborhood. I've never really had any problems...I'm just looking forward to living in an area that's a little nicer. I'll probably be without internet access for a couple of days. Right now I'm using DSL...but decided to try out cable internet and see if it's any better.
I am currently without cable tv....I told them to disconnect me on the 29...they decided to do it on the 19th instead...I called them and the nice lady on the other end of the phone said she would send someone right out the next day. Two days later I still have no cable. I called back and told them to forget it. I can live without it for a week right? Now I only have to pray Qwest doesn't disconnect my DSL until the correct date....or I'll go mad.....Muhahahaha...sorry.

Well...everything went fine with the PMS today at Holley....it was almost weird having everything work. We'll be working on building a new Management Console next week and then we'll probably hit another branch the week after that. I'm supposed to go to Holley's staff meeting tomorrow to answer any questions about the system...I'm not really looking forward to it but they did promise to feed me. =O)
