....the car that I currently have is a piece of crap. It's starting to fall apart on me. And since I don't want to keep paying hundreds of dollars each month to keep it running I'm going to have to look for a new car. The only question is, can I afford one? I'm going to at least go out and look at some this weekend....so after that I'll either be really excited or completely bummed out. Only time will tell...

...another exciting work day is here. I think my feet have finally recovered from the two straight days I spent on them. I'll need to check the schedule, but hopefully Bob has given us a 'little' break between now and the next PMS install.

I'm going to try burning a DVD-R today...I'll be using a Pioneer DVR-A04. I want to see if it will play in my DVD player at home. A couple of weeks ago I was really wanting to get a DVD-RW drive....but for about the past week my interest has been waning. Not really sure why, maybe it has something to do with all the crap that the MPAA and RIAA has been up to lately.

I think instead I might upgrade my CPU to an Athlon XP 1900... :O) There's also a spiffy looking case that I'd like to get. I'm supposed to be getting my deposit back from the apartments I just moved out of....hmm....I think I know how to spend the money now.

I have found a new love... and it's a game called Freedom Force. I seem to be getting a lot of games lately that are taking up so much of my time... Freedom Force, Warcraft III, Jedi Knight II...just to name a few... Plus there are other things that I would like to do, like take more pictures, redesign my website, etc. I don't have time to do all of these things. I can think of only two options. I can start sleeping only 1-2 hours a night or I can quit work, both of which would give me more time to work on my "projects".

...too bad neither one of them would work...hmm...I shall have to ponder this further.

Well I'm back from vacation....I actually got back last Friday but haven't really felt like posting anything until now. Just got back from seeing Road to Perdition...really good movie. That's about it....had a good time in Yellowstone, even though it rained a little bit while we were there.

I leave for Yellowstone on Saturday....I can't wait to get out of here. It will be so nice to be able to spend an entire week away from my job. I'm so tired of replacing floppy drives and helping idiot users with computer problems.

Plus...the real reason I go to Yellowstone every year is to watch the Wolves. I can't really explain why I enjoy it so much, there's something about watching a group of 4-5 wolves running across a field that gets your blood going. I will also get to take more pictures for my website.

...went and saw MIB II again last night, not that it was so good I had to see it twice. I saw it with different people who hadn't seen it each time. I also finally got my Tivo hooked up again thanks to my good friend Adam. Now I can rest by knowing the fact that while I'm away on vacation next week all of my shows will get tivoed for me.

I have to get back to work...wrestling with a damn linux server.... grrrr....

...I finally have cable internet at my apartment... the guy who came out this time really knew what he was doing. He had to run some cable under the carpet and blah, blah, blah...I'm up and running! Yeah! I'll have to wait until tomorrow to enjoy it though...

...did I mention how fast it was? I'm getting around 2.5mbit!! I can't wait to see what my ping is when I play Jedi....

okay....the frickin' cable guy is supposed to be at my place today to "fix" my internet connection...I think what I'll do is hold him hostage until he get's my shit going...

okay....normally I like things to be running smoothly....but not when I'm bored out of my frickin' mind....I think I might actually have to take off early today...unless it starts to pick up.

...of course even if I go home there still isn't any damn internet...you have no idea how much that pisses me off....oh well back to work...

....I suppose I could use my laptop to dial into the library and get access that way...but that would be dog slow...I'll just have to hold out for the cable guy to come out Friday...hopefully they will send me someone with a brain this time.

It's almost time for me to go home...I don't know why I showed up today. I really did only one productive thing today... Adam was thinking I should try one of the other cable jacks in my apartment and see if that's the problem.

well, I still don't have any internet access....the cable guy came by yeterday and hooked everything up. The cable tv is working fine...he said yesterday that the reason I didn't have internet is because I turned the modem on before he got there and that I had to wait until midnight for it to "reset"... Well I still have no internet this morning...so I say the guys full of shit.

I called yesterday and they're supposed to be sending a guy out Friday to take a look....if I had went with the DSL I would have been up and running by now...this cable shit better be a lot faster then the DSL...or I'll be pissed.

...thank God for the speedy connection at work....
