I wrote zeros to my notebook's hard drive last night and reloaded Win2k...I haven't had any problems with the LCD screen since. I'm glad the screen isn't fux0red. The battery is though...a new one would cost around $250. I'm not sure I should pay that much for one...the notebook probably isn't even worth that much. I still have a lot of fun with it so I guess I'll have to think about it.... hmmm....
...My notebook has been acting up lately. (read the previous post below) Sometimes though it's fine... I emailed Sony and they said ship it to us...yada, yada, yada...They also said I had to include a letter authorizing up to $700 worth of work... hmmm...I don't think my notebook is even worth that much. What I am going to do is reload Win2k and Linux. I doubt that will make much of a difference but you never know.
I took this Friday off, which means I'll have a 4-day weekend! Woohoo! I'm not exactly sure what I'll do with those four days....maybe I'll work on my website. Or go take some pictures. It should be fun either way.

I think the screen on my notebook is going out... there are a bunch of crazy lines in the display...and it happens when I'm in the BIOS...and also when in both Win2k/Linux.... It can't still be under warrenty...but I'll email Sony and see what they say. ...I hoped it's not hosed. =O(
TGIPD...(Thank God it's payday) ...now that I have money again I can pay some bills, maybe even pick up something for myself...don't worry I'm not going to go crazy. I'll probably just buy a couple of DVDs or something. Or I could buy a new XP 1900 CPU...which you can get right now for under $100... hmm.....
sometimes work can be sooooo boring.... OMG....save me please... serenity now!
I went and looked at a Toyota Echo this weekend. I went Sunday so I didn't have to talk to some weasel of a salesman. I really like the Echo....the first one I walked up to to look at was unlocked so I got to sit in it. (was it a sign? ...I think so) It's very spiffy on the inside...sits really well plus there's a bunch of storage space on the inside. I think I want to try and get one...I'm pretty sure I could afford it, the only problem is that I owe some money on my old car...more then it's worth. And more then what I think the Toyota place would give me for it... more on this later.
well I think I might have found the car to buy...I've been looking online at the Toyota Echo. I've read many reviews and everyone says it's an excellent car, plus it was rated very well in Consumer Reports...PLUS it starts at just under $10,000. That's my kind of car. I still have what I owe on my car left...but it has given me hope for the future.
The only thing that I might not like is the style of the car....one the internet it looks like a nice enough car. I'll have to see it in person. Plus I want to take it for a test drive too...it's supposed to have some pep to it... I'll let you know how it goes.
Well...as my financial situation stands right now I can't afford a new Saturn...but I think I might look into getting a used Honda...maybe I'll check those out this weekend.
I might be going to look at a new Saturn tonight.... I called Pikes Peak National Bank about a car loan and they said they would give me one for 8%...that's not too bad but it still makes my monthly payments too high. I'll go drive a Saturn tonight and see if maybe they can give me a better deal.
I hate incompetence... Unfortunately I do run into every once in awhile where I work. To make a long story short, I went upstairs and none of the public pcs were working... To make a long story short a change was made on the network that I didn't know about...which made all of the public PCs not able to access the internet.
Everything is working now...thanks goes out to my man Duane for helping reboot all the PCs.... the only comfort that I have left is that it's almost lunch time....Mmm...
...after looking at some of the prices of cars online, and going with what I want to spend every month I'm thinking I could afford a "new" car. I'm still going to go check out prices this weekend just to make sure they match up with what I've seen online.
