It will be here soon...

I can hardly believe it! I received an email earlier today saying the my ITrip has shipped! It should be here early next week. I can't wait to start using it... in the car, at home, at work... I'll let you know how it performs after I've had a chance to play with it.

It's Miller time...

Okay... where the hell do these things come from and how do they keep getting into my apartment?? I swear I kill at least a couple Miller Moths every day and they just keep coming back. Have you seen that movie The Mothman Prophecies where this giant moth like creature kills people?? Well if you don't hear from me tomorrow then you know what happened...

The hour draws near...

The series finale of Buffy is on tonight... actually it's on right now! I always like to pause the program with my Tivo for about a half an hour so I can zip through the commercials. I'm getting ready to go watch it now... I'm pretty excited, but also a little sad. It's such a good show. I can't really complain too much, it did have a pretty good run. Plus since I only started watching it last year I have many seasons to catch up on. Oh and don't forget to head over and listen to Buffy Radio when the show is over. Tonight their program will be live! If you're a fan of Buffy I guarantee you'll dig the radio program. I'll post my thoughts on the show later tonight.

Woah...

I'm almost not sure where to begin... I think I need to see the movie again to get a real sense of how much I liked it. Like a lot of movies coming out this summer I let my anticipation of the movie get a little carried away, which made the movie a little less enjoyable. At least for the first viewing. I have read a few reviews and heard complaints that Reloaded is nothing but action sequences and special effects. This isn't true... in fact the action doesn't really pick up until the second hour.

It's getting a lot of good reviews, even though most say that it isn't as good as the original. The cliffhanger at the end of Reloaded is a good one... and I expect that the third installment of the series will be better then the second, and hopefully all of our questions will be answered.

Get Reloaded...

Tonight is the big night... at 10pm I'll be sitting down to watch The Matrix Reloaded. I can't wait! I've tried to not get too excited about this movie, in case it sucks. Then I thought fuck it... theres no way this movie isn't going to kick some major ass... I probably won't post my thoughts on the flick until tomorrow since I won't be getting home tonight until around 12:30... and I do have to work the next day.

Damn 'hackers'

Stuff like this really pisses me off... right now it's only streaming music. But you know it's only a matter of time before they figure out a way to download the songs to the local hard drive. I'm not saying that I've never downloaded anything from Kazaa, it's just that if you're going to do that then use a program like Kazaa. Don't 'hack' Apples software to do it. I was actually looking forward to the service coming to Windows... if this crap keeps up though it might not make it.

Not Oreos!

It's not that I thought these things were good for you... but according to this it seems they're a lot worse then you thought. I'm just glad I don't live in California.

Qapla'

I guess all those years you spent learning Klingon wasn't a total waste. A hospital in Oregon is seeking a Klingon-English interpreter. Oh yeah, and did I mention it's a mental hospital?

The Last Starfighter is to blame

It appears that the movie 'The Last Starfighter' is to blame for our current situation... I think I'm going to have to go home and burn my copy.

Surfing the web on the toilet?

According to this article there are plans to put web surfing stations right next to the toilets so you can send an email to a loved one while taking care of business. Right now these guys are only planned to be put into use in Britain but I can see them coming to the US soon enough. God I hope we don't get them where I work...because I'll be the one have to go fix them when they brake. I wonder if I'd get hazard pay for that?

Angel Season (Series?) Finale

The season finale of Angel is on tonight. This is one of my favorite shows on right now, unfortunately it hasn't been getting the best of ratings. So this could be its series finale as well. The creator Joss Whedon hopes to take the show in a new direction starting with this episode. Hopefully that will draw in more viewers, plus with Buffy ending this season there are hopes that those viewers will start to watch Angel. If you've never seen it you should give it a shot, even if you don't like Buffy you should give it a look. It's a lot different then Buffy, and in many ways a better show.

Indy is coming to DVD!

It's official, according to this article the Indiana Jones trilogy will be coming to DVD on November 4th! This is one I've been eagerly awaiting, and according to the article it's on a lot of peoples top ten lists. Now if we could only get George Lucas to release the original Star Wars movies on DVD I'd be all set.

Mutants rake in the bucks

It looks like X2 has made about $85 million in it's opening weekend. This is great news... maybe this means they'll be tempted to make another movie. =o)

Here's an article I ran across about The Matrix. I don't agree with everything the guy says but I thought it was a pretty good read.

X2

It was only last night that I went to see this movie and I already want to go see it again. If you're a fan of the original you're going to love this one. I think one of the good things about this movie is that you don't have to see the original to enjoy it. It does help though, because in this one there is about zero character development. I didn't really mind it too much. Being a fan of the first movie and the comics before that I pretty much know all of the characters and their back story.

Which I think is something that Bryan Singer (the director) was counting on. He's already given you some character development in the first one... this time around it's purely about the X-Men showing off. Which they're very good at....and if that's not enough of a reason for you to go see the movie here are a few more.

X2: X-Men United

I'm supposed to go see X2 tonight...and I can hardly wait! It's been a long time since I've been excited about going to see a movie. It's not that my love of movies has faded, it's just that there hasn't been any movies worth getting excited about. I'll try and post my thoughts on the flick tonight. So far it's been getting pretty good reviews.
