Watched this movie last night.... and I'm not really sure what to make of it. The only thing I'm sure of is that it's really weird...and a little fucked up. Both Adam Sandler and Emily Watson did an excellent job. I don't know... I think I need to watch it again before I can make a final judgement.
No... I'm not talking about the crappy movie which starred Val Kilmer but the fact that Mars will be closer to Earth then it's been in about 60,000 years. The best time to see it is supposed to be late tonight or early tomorrow morning. When I say early I'm talking about 3am... hmmm... Seeing as how I don't think I could stay up that late/get up that early I think I'll try and see it tonight.
I went and saw this movie last night and must say I was pleasantly surprised. I don't usually go to see these low budget independent type films but decided to give this one a try. The acting was excellent, the 'bad guys' were really bad, and who doesn't like a little organ removal mixed in with their romance? Plus after seeing this movie I completely fell in love with Audrey Tautou. I think I need to run out and rent Amelie right now. And if all that wasn't enough, the company was excellent.
I rented this movie earlier in the week and wasn't that impressed. As I was watching it I kept thinking about Dead Poets Society, and how it was a much better film. Maybe if you get it has a gift or find it on the side of the road I'd give it look. If on the other hand you're looking for a good teacher/student bonding movie I'd see Poets.
I'm not too broken up about this... I will miss her being on the show but I think it will be good to get some new blood in there... pun intended. Plus I was really starting to hate 'Evil Cordy'.
Some good news for some of you file traders out there... this of course does not apply to me.
Somehow... this doesn't make me feel any better.
I guess I should have made my move when I had the chance. Now it's too late.
Talk about some good music... the Pikes Peak Blues Community is having a summer concert series this summer. Tonight I was jammin' to the music of John Alex Mason...good stuff. Theres still a couple weeks left if you want to check it out... it's some great music...plus it's free! It doesn't get much better then that.
...Am I the only one who encounters this guy on the road? Every time I'm running late or have to be some place early I run into this guy. He's always going at least 20 miles below the speed limit... and he always seems to be wearing a hat. What's weird is if I run into an old guy that's not wearing a hat he drives fine... maybe something about the hat throws off their driving. I think further investigation is needed...
